Let Down your Nets

"As for me, I will call upon God;... Evening, and morning, and at noon will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice."

Where do I even Begin? This ever growing list of cares, troubles, and burdens... O, the burdens! The souls and faces that I cannot blot from my memory... They have cut me to the heart unknowingly and I am left crying after them! "Where are you going? Look at your feet! The ground you're walking on is crumbling! And... why can't you hear me?"

The words of the Psalmist are still sweet to me. Ps. 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

I have heard oft' of the call to urgent prayer...

"If God is not first in our thoughts in the morning, He will b e the Last remainder of the day." - E. M. Bounds

"Solid missionary work is done only on our knees." - James Fraser

"The prayers of God's saints strengthen the unborn generation against the desolating waves of sin and evil." - E. M. Bounds

...When, tell me, will we start praying instead of talking about it?

Colossians 4:2-3 "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with Thanksgiving; withal praying that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds."

A door of utterance... I can see the windows of heaven open and the breath of God fall upon me if I but ask!

In Chile, just two weeks before the earthquakes, they prayed for revival. And now, right before them, they are overwhelmed by all the "fish" they've caught! =)

So.. this week, I am going to pray and prepare for a drought. By faith I am going to lift up my hands and let down my nets! God will do... What He deems best.

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, Believe, that ye receive them and ye shall have them."
